As summer approaches, the time is coming to prepare your outdoor areas for the sunny days ahead, particularly swimming pool and spa areas.
In May 2010, new pool fencing regulations have been added to Victorian laws, and because we value safety at EPIC Pool Fencing, we have put together a little PDF to outline your responsibilities.
These regulations apply to ANYONE who owns a pool, regardless of whether children reside in your home or not.
Please take the time to read our brochure on Victorian Pool Fencing Regulations, and feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions, or would like further information about our products and services.

Glass Pool Fencing
Glass pool fencing is one of the top styling alternatives to traditional fencing, and will give your pool and outdoor areas an entirely different look. Glass Pool Fencing can be used in pool areas, spa areas, and surrounding large water features in your home. It creates a stylish and modern look to complement your landscaping, while maintaining safety for your family and friends.
Affordable Pool Fencing
Glass Pool Fencing is more affordable than you may think, making it viable for nearly any application. Whether you are looking for a new fence or upgrading your existing pool fencing, glass is something that you should consider as it will definitely enhance the look of your pool.
Unspoilt views with glass pool fencing
Traditional pool fencing tends to cut off the yard, whereas glass pool fencing will often make your entire yard look and feel much larger.
Often the reason someone may choose a glass pool fence is that it will not obstruct your view. If you have property that is in a scenic location, you will still be able to enjoy the great view, while providing the protection that your family needs.
Add to the value of your property with glass pool fencing
EPIC glass pool fencing is often seen in some of the most elegant of houses in Melbourne, and adds to the value of a beautiful property. With it’s modern look and seamless design, adding to your property’s value is yet another reason why an EPIC glass pool fence is a fantastic idea.
Get it right the first time with EPIC Pool Fencing’s glass pool fencing
Unlike timber, and most other building materials, glass cannot be altered in size once it has been manufactured so it is important to keep in mind that mistakes can be very costly.
That is why, when it comes to glass pool fencing, it really is best left to the professionals.
When making any large investment in your home, it is always a good idea to have experienced people doing the best possible job. With many years in the fencing industry, the technicians at EPIC Pool Fencing will ensure that we get it right the first time!
Choose a glass pool fence that suits your home
If you are considering a glass pool fence, be sure to look at the many different styles that are available. The 3 main styles offered by EPIC Pool Fencing are:
You should be able to find a fence that suits your individual tastes. No other material can match the elegant look that glass will bring to your yard.
If you have been looking for a change in your pool area, an EPIC glass pool fence is definitely something to consider.

Why you need a pool fence
EPIC Pool Fencing have a policy of providing high quality products all up to Australian building standards. In order for us to provide you with the best customer service possible, we feel it is our obligation to keep you informed of your choices and responsibilities when it comes to glass pool fencing.
A pool fence is not only a very important thing to have when you own a pool, but it is also required by law as long as you have a body of water, like a pool or even a large water feature, within your property.
Pool safety isn’t just for households that have children.
Any property with a pool that can be entered by children or adults is required by law to be made pool safe.
An elegant and well built pool fence from EPIC Pool Fencing is a great investment for absolutely anyone. Ignore the fact that it’s mandatory by the state and just remember that it’s mandatory for your safety, and the safety of your loved ones.
Drowning accidents in home swimming pools are alarmingly on the rise in Australia.
Having an EPIC pool fence can prevent a lot of the really easily avoidable accidents that tend to happen so quickly – for instance, a child getting away from you for just a few minutes and falling into the pool. Having a latched or locked gate could make all of the difference within those few minutes. Glass Pool Fencing also offers a fantastic solution for fencing that cannot be climbed or scaled by children.
Should I get a company to install my glass pool fencing, or should I do it myself?
It’s paramount to make sure that your pool can be made to comply with current pool safety standards when you are installing a glass pool fence. Although it may be a cheaper option to install your own pool fencing, there is not the comfort of being absolutely sure you are complying with pool fencing standards in Victoria, or that you have correctly installed the fittings.
With EPIC Pool Fencing, you can rest assured that all building and pool safety requirements are being met, fittings are installed correctly and safely, and your glass pool fence will be secure for many years to come.
By using the highest quality (and strongest) fittings for our glass pool fencing, EPIC Pool Fencing can ensure the safety of your family and friends when using your swimming pool. With many years experience in the fencing industry, the guys from EPIC Pool Fencing can design, supply and install safe glass pool fencing for your home.
Getting a pool fence is very important for everyone who owns a pool, whether or not you have a child.
Regardless of whether you install pool fencing yourself, buy it already made, or have someone come in and install it, safety is the number one priority of glass pool fencing.
Like any safety item, if you’re not sure about the application, call in a professional like the guys from EPIC Pool Fencing.

TV Mirrors - What are they?
TV Mirrors by EPIC Pool Fencing |
One of the truly unique products designed, supplied and installed by EPIC Pool Fencing is our range of TV Mirrors. Something we hear a lot is… “What is a TV Mirror?”, so we figured it was about time we wrote an article to let you know!
Let’s face it – we all enjoy a little TV now and then, but it’s not a good look to have an entire room centred around a big television, which is why many people now choose to install a TV Mirror.
Not only is a TV mirror inconspicuous, it also offers a dynamic alternative to the regular wall mounted flat screens that are usual in Australian households today.
The process of installing a TV Mirror is simple: -
Firstly, EPIC Pool Fencing’s technicians will mount your flat screen television into the wall of your choice, and then they simply overlay a reflective, light sensitive film over the top of it. Frames can be added to create a stunning visual effect and VOILA! TV mirror!
FAQ
Will the definition of my TV be distorted by the glass?
No. With the technology used in our mirrors, the glass will become completely transparent when your television is turned on, therefore you will not notice any distortion in the clarity of your picture.
Can I use a TV Mirror like a regular mirror?
Yes. When the television is turned off, your TV Mirror will function like any other mirror and look great to boot!
Can I use a TV Mirror in any room of my home?
Yes. TV Mirrors are suited to any room, and are particularly useful in the lounge, bathroom and bedroom; giving a seamless look to your decor, a TV Mirror provides a modern mesh of style and utility.

Pool Fencing Safety
At EPIC Pool Fencing, we like to keep up-to-date with any changes in pool safety so that we can provide our clients with stylish and safe glass pool fencing.
There have recently been many articles in the news about the new pool fencing safety laws that have been passed in QLD. It is our belief that this will soon effect Victorian pool safety laws, so we have written a brief article to give you a run down of the new laws that have been passed.
After many swimming pool tragedies that have left families devestated across the nation, the QLD Government has finally brought in new pool fencing laws to protect our homes and loved ones.
Although these laws have only been passed in QLD, it is widely believed that they will set the benchmark for laws in other Australian states within the next year.
Under new QLD Pool Fencing laws: -
Swimming pools are fantastic, and provide us with the opportunity to relax at home with friends and family; unfortunately, the swimming pool can be a dangerous place in the home, particularly when inferior products are used in construction and pool safety laws are overlooked.
Pool Fencing is not a product you want to take the cheaper option on. When paying for cheaper pool fencing, you are paying for inferior fittings, as glass panels cost the same amount for all glass pool fencing companies.
If affordability is an issue when installing glass pool fencing, perhaps you should look at fully framed glass pool fencing, which is the most affordable option available on the glass pool fencing market today.
EPIC Pool Fencing will keep you updated on any changes made to Victorian Laws, and please feel free to contact us if you have any queries about your own pool fencing.
